About Us

We are a Cincinnati-based non-profit soccer club catering to players at every level from 3 years old through to competitive and elite play. Our goal is to provide a developmental experience for players, their families and our staff. Soccer is merely the vehicle through which we travel.

Together, we strive for excellence, ignite a passion for soccer, and work together to bring out the best in all of us. Players 7yrs+ who are interested in select soccer are provided higher levels of professional training and competition in community-based locations.

OUR HISTORY

Our club has been a collaboration from the beginning; formed by traditional clubs including Lakota United Soccer Club, Thunder United, Sycamore Soccer Club (Arsenal) and Southeast Cincinnati Soccer Association, we have proven that we can accomplish more together.

Our Cincinnati United Communities have grown to provide developmental and competitive pathways for boys and girls aged 8 to 19, and our CUP Boys and CUP Girls programs have always enabled the best players to compete at the highest level on a regional and national stage. We believe that our 2024 to 2026 uniform cycle embodies our one club approach- learn more here.

Our proven track record for player development has been supported by our Juniors Program for ages 3yrs+, which we see as vital to the foundation of the club. Recently we have continued to add Specialty Programs on a year-round basis to enhance the options for our current members, as well as allowing prospective new players opportunities to get introduced to the club.

What they say about our club

We are brand new to the club this year and my daughter has had nothing but a good experiences so far. She really likes Coach Ahmed, he has taken her skills to another level. Plus her teammates really push each other to get better which is great to see.

-L. Adkisson, parent of new player, Fall 2024

My daughter played for the club from Juniors all the way through to CUP Girls before she then went onto college. There were so many great experiences with teammates and coaches along the way. We were so sad to leave this community- it felt like family!

-Lisa H, parent of former player, Summer 2024

When our son first joined CUSC, he faced challenges with confidence, unsure if his performance would meet expectations. However, with the consistent support of his coaches and teammates, he gradually began to realize the potential they saw in him. We are deeply grateful to CUSC for believing in Camryn and guiding his growth— not only as a player but as an individual. Through this experience, he has learned invaluable lessons in accountability, teamwork, and responsibility. Thank you, CUSC, for creating an environment where young athletes can truly thrive!

-K. Quarles, parent of senior player, March 2025

For me, the positives of being a coach in CUSC are the strong community, and the diverse experience that you gain. The club fosters a tight-knit environment where everyone supports one another, whilst there are plenty of opportunities for professional development through workshops and mentorship, allowing coaches to refine their skills.

-Ross Brogan, Cincinnati United Boys Coach, Fall 2024

CUSC has strong forward-thinking leadership, that truly believes in their core values and mission. The support from the director level of leadership partnered with their infrastructure helps create a positive ecosystem where the parents, players, and coaching staff work together for the betterment of all involved: truly one club.

What they say about our staff

I can’t overstate how impressed I have been with Claire Wellington and the [Juniors] program she runs. She has been an incredibly caring and kind person, while also being an excellent teacher of the game. She does a good job of keeping things moving, but also teaching skills.

I just thought you guys should know what a good job she does and I think is a really valuable asset to Cincinnati United.

-Joe Appel, parent in CU Juniors program, Spring 2024

I just wanted to pass along some well deserved praise for Nick Rohner. We've been with CU since 2012 with my older son, Owen, and have had some lifelong, memorable experiences.

Since Nick became a coach, the boys' game has evolved and he has been the perfect conduit to the parents notably in communications with parents.

-Jason Peters, parent on CU North 06B Puma One, Winter 2023

I am a mother of a player who he has been a part of the club for 5 years.

I think it is important for me to take a moment to praise Mark Whyte, Rory's Arsenal coach for the last 2 years. Mark has changed Rory's soccer life. Mark knows Rory as a player and knows how and when to push him on the field. Mark has referenced Rory as a dedicated leader both on and off the field, and Mark and Rory's unspoken language from coach to player and vice versa is impressive. Mark clearly cares about each player on his team and coaches them accordingly. Your club is lucky to have such a determined and kind person who knows how to coach.

-Megan McGarey, parent on CUSE 12B Arsenal, Summer 2024
